A railway siding for the ages and of course IRO!

This has been built to use in a number of scenarios. As it is the Sarissa Precision model of the El Alamien railway station I have planned to use it for 4th Australian Light Horse attack on the Railway siding at Samakh on 25th September 1918. It is also non de-script enough to use as part of my Gotham City terrain (pictured below), and also for my Wild West town as well. I have already used it for the Glenrowan Railway Station in a re-fight of Ned Kelly’s last stand.

I still have some of the more modern pieces like the signals and a few bibs and bobs to go, but basically the buildings are done. I also have a number of Mdf. trains and carriages from Sarissa Precision to complete the scene.

I did purchase this very large train station from TTCombat train station but found the station itself too big for what I wanted. I have used the signal box and water tower which were ideal.

Zombie Police arrive

For use in Palestine and the Wild West town I just change the “gothic” base for one to match without the footpath and asphalt.

IRO I hope this is what you were after!

  1. Change the scenery, station signs, add some wagons, cacti, an old fashion water tower, wanted posters and some horse rails, and suddenly your in the Wild West. Using 2021 jargon – it provides a very eclectic, synergistic, and resilient piece of “train”! Oops forgot the emphasis on the first syllable – terrain.
