“Originally, House Cawdor consisted of nothing more than criminals and beggars infesting the lowest spires of Necromunda. This changed at the end of M39 when the Redemption Cult was born on the blighted world. It is said that Encorderius Brayne was the founding father of the Redemption. This simple but pious factory worker despaired at the suffering of those around him and the greed of the noble houses, delivering fiery sermons against the ruling class. He also espoused that the workers had also lost their way from the light of the Emperor. His legend continues to state that one day he was saved from a deadly industrial accident by the Emperor’s light and when he emerged declared he had been chosen to lead the people of Necromunda to salvation. He overcame countless trials, leading his people down into the Underhive where the first Redemption Cults formed. “ Lexicanum
These are the old school first edition Cawdor metal figures. There are a few more somewhere that I will dig out to finish the gang. These appeared nearly completed some time ago but a few touch ups, washing, and some shading has finished them off.

Very nice, this was my most played gang in the original Necromunda. My favourite though were the ratskin renegades. I spent so long painting them that they never got in a game…sadly I sold them years ago.
Like you every time I sell something I regret it down the track!
Out of interest, was this the original colour scheme? It is just that I painted mine in exactly the same colours.
Yes this was the original colour scheme and I will continue it with the rest that i need to paint as the contrasts look cool.
Great work on these classic models, they have a grimy look that is perfect for the Underhive
Very nice indeed. Of all the classic Necromunda models I reckon the Cawdor and the Redemptionists have held up the best, they still look damn good.
I have a few more gangs on the production line and I think most of the old metals hold up well, but then I have alwyas preferred metal over plastics.
Great minis- I was always really keen on the grenade launcher equipped heavy.
Cheers,
Pete.
Never been a fan of grenade launchers in the 40k genre but each to his own poison. I do love the model though!
