February in Review

In terms of the number of posts this has again been a productive month:

  • 33 posts
  • 3 Battle reports
  • 2 Off topic posts
  • 1 Book review

In terms of hobby efforts, with the advent of us playing Lasalle 2, I have been concentrating on readying many of my old Napoleonic figures for gaming. So very little new painting but lots of repairs, touch ups and re-basing:

  • 323 Infantry repaired and re-based;
  • 54 cavalry repaired and re-based;
  • 25 infantry painted;
  • 1 vehicle painted

In addition the Mouse village was completed.

Blog statistics are as follows:

Overall the statistics were slightly down from January. The most popular(controversial?) post was on period preference, with the top ten posts being:

Again the blog has been most popular in the UK, Australia and the United States which is expected. Thanks to the one reader from Denmark – a first for that country!

By its very nature the blog is never going to be that popular by I am glad people enjoy reading the “piffle” (to use Buckos* term) that I write.

  1. That’s an impressive number of updated models – not to mention the number of posts in the month as well. No surprise that a slightly contriversial conversation post triggers a bit more interaction than usual – people do like to share their thoughts when things like this come up!

  2. In terms of a blogs “success”, I guess it really comes down to what you want out of it. I get similar views to you when I post regularly, but I love getting engagement and feedback on the comments. That matters more then views I feel!

    I do like your stuff, there is a bit of everything for everyone in wargaming here. Sometimes I can’t keep up with it all haha.

    But I’m keen to see more! I’ve just gotten into Test of Honour so your Japanese feudal stuff is content I’m going to catch up on, as well as your ACW stuff since I’m starting Longstreet soon.

  3. If you’re happy Dave, with the content and the number of posts, that’s what counts, the rest is just icing on the cake, as they say.
