I wanted a total of six destroyed vehicles in addition to the helicopter. This meant five more needed to be “destroyed”. I decide to take Azazel’s advice and really did destroy them – with a hammer! I used vehicles that I had a copy of so if I ever needed a before and after vehicle I could swap them over.

This was a pity as I could only find one Pagani Huayra, and I would have had such vicarious pleasure in smashing = a $3.8 million dollar car to pieces even if it was only a toy replica. Jealous? Nooooooo not much!

The same steps with the exception of the additional hammer work was used as in the previous post.

The finished vehicles.

2019 Ram 1600

1972 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM

Jeep Gladiator

2016 Porsche 911 GTS RS

Audi R8 V10

2019 Ram 1600

On the table adding cover and interest to the freeway fly over.

A very therapeutic project!
PS My name is not Maxwell!
Great collection of derelicts Dave, you must have almost enough wheels and tyres to build the tyre wall from Mad Max 2 by now ! LOL
The 72 Pontiac is definitely the Trans Am version as the Firebird did not come with the shaker hood and side scoops as standard.
I stand corrected – I cannot remember the 70’s!!!!
Not enough tyres yet, but I do have a sizeable container of car bits and pieces now!
No problem mate, I only know as my dad loved his American Cars, and had both a Firebird, and a Trans Am at different times
The lucky devil!
He even had a Z28 Camaro as well, now that thing was a beast with a 7.6 litre racing engine in it, and I even got to drive that one a few times !
LOL – that’s funny, because my dad loved his English cars, Triumphs and MG’s, so I really don’t know anything about 70’s American cars!
Smashing! Couldn’t resist it, sorry! ๐ Really good looking wrecks there, Dave!
I was smashed afterwards myself!
Bloody great looking wrecks! Love the deformation on them! Now you have regular burnt out and also car wreck or hit by ordnance options! ๐
Thanks for the prompt as well!
Some awesome wrecks.
TA. I am very pleased with the outcome and the time it took. Why is it always quicker to destroy something than to build it?
Love the whole look, but I have to wonder where Godzilla is, it certainly looks like he had fun stomping those cars.
Not Godzilla but Guru with a hammer. Guru did have fun!
Those are really great- very useful to have so many wrecks.
Cheers,
Pete.
You can never have too much variety in your scatter pieces.
Brilliant work on these mate! I have never seen anything like it, well done.
Thanks Pat. You must be a careful driver!
๐ ๐ ๐ funnily enough I am , if one totals ones car there are not many replacements at the Moment ๐ณ, the used car adds in the Midlands Express are Amazing, should have sold the old Ford instead of giving it to Fi ๐ค
Something that would help generate spare tyres : If a car burns out, the rubber also burns, leaving just the rim. Hey presto! Four spare tyres minus the hubs ๐
Regards, Chris.
Yep agreed, but looks “cooler” with the tyres on!
The “rule of cool” trumps “realistic” every time ๐
how well do you find the paint sticks to the factory finish? I find I have to sand or strip (even just roughly) to even get undercoat spray to hang on.
I t seems OK with a matt varnish. If it comes off it will just add to the models look……. I hope!
