Some Ebay advice

Hi Guys I am wanting to put my boxed game Night of the Living Dead on Ebay.

It is in mint condition with everything but the figures still in their cellophane wrappers. All 66 figures are painted some of which you have seen and others are awaiting their turn in the post queue.

I would appreciate your advice of what price do you think I should put on the lot?

  1. A quick check of the US eBay site shows pre-owned running from $65-80 USD, new $90 on up to $120 USD. I didn’t see any with painted figures. If you are looking to get value out of your painting, then I would put it a the $100 range (like new, but not, but painted). If you are just looking to move the game to a new home, put it at the $75-80 range. All of these number would be plus shipping and as the “Buy it Now” option, for the auction I might start at $45-50 USD.

    Good luck!

  2. I have no idea, to tell you the truth. I guess you can extrapolate Eric’s numbers based on the AU prices and adjust accordingly. I’m no good at selling stuff – too much stress in my life as it is without dealing with eBay and buyers.
Why did you decide to sell? Too many zombies as it is?

    • Selling on eBay is easy, it’s when you get the final payout and you see how much eBay pockets that’s hard. I justify selling, from time to time, as a way to give something I’ve lost interest in a new home. If it doesn’t;t sell, there is always a thrift shop that would be happy for a donation!

      • Honestly, with all of the other stresses of life I have to deal with, I just can’t deal with the thought of all of the BS involved dealing with eBay, buyers and all the rest – especially as you say given how much they (and PayPal, etc) pocket from the procedure when you’re doing all the manual work. It’s a shame, I’ve got a lot of stuff I could make a fair bit of scratch from, but on the other hand it’s just easier to go to work.

    • Decided to sell as I was given another brand new box by a mate! I am interested to sell but seems there is no value for the painting effort so probably will not bother.

      • Well, at least you have a good home for the zombies amongst the rest of your shambling hordes – and the game itself is pretty good – you can play solo or co-op with any interested household members.
