The finished Competition Component of the Australian Tank Attack Platoon and What’s Next!

The finished competition component of the army:

Whilst painting the above I have also been working on the rest of the army not needed for the competition.

And other Australian “stuff” for other projects.

Once I finish those in the next week or so maybe I will start on the rest of my Song of Ice and Fire “Free Folk Army.

Or the rest of my Silver Bayonet figures.

Or maybe just catch up on my bedside reading? Who knows!

It is not as if I don’t have anything left to do!!!

Oh, I have forgotten to say that I have also picked up my travelling case from Knights of Dice purposefully designed for the Tank Attack Platoon!

This adds to the cases for the Australian Jungle Division and the Australian Tank Platoon armies. Lulu sleeps on totally undisturbed! Right under the ducted aircon of course!

The colours of the tag denotes which army, so I don’t have to pull them all down to find the right one.

  1. 4 only 6 pdrs and one 25pdr that can do both, and two bofors 40mm auto cannons for a total of seven. Difficult taking objectives though! The four 5 man infantry sections are also extra gunners and they have a light mortar and a Bren gun for support. Quirky but not that effective and I will have had no practice games with them.
At the bottom of the pile but will have fun getting there! I can just hope for an opponent with tank army!

  2. Fantastic looking army Dave, is the hedgehog for this army ? just a few things lined up to work on then ! LOL

  3. Thanks Dave. The Hedgehog is still caught up in UK mail with several other orders. I am told I will need to wait a little longer. Should have hired that camel driver! The Hedgehog was only used in the Borneo campaign so it will go with the Jungle Division painted late last/early this year.

  4. I’ve been following the posts, but still surprising to see them all together! Great job on your army! Also glad to hear that you have lots to do. I never really understand people who sit and around complain that they are bored. There are so many hobbies to do, but it seems a lot of people never bothered to pick one (or more) up!
