Great looking support Dave
Thanks Dave. The next project is the 2/7th Australian Field Artillery Troop which also used the “cut-down” 25pdr.
Hey is that a painted on hat shadow?
Hi Eric. No not a painted hat shadow. There are just my “quick and dirty” fast painting style – paint the basics and throw a wash over the top. No eyes no hair painted but on the table they look OK. The “shadow” is just GW Reiksland Flesh Shade, doing its job.
I was thinking it was from the top down lighting in the photo, but on the off chance you took a chance and went all object source lighting, I wanted to let you know I saw it!
Nice work. Odd, but good, to see a 25pdr without the usual shield and circular base.
Cheers,
Pete.
Thanks Pete. About a third of the weight was saved by streamlining the gun carriage as much as possible. Generally not even a Jeep or mules were used as tows as the needed to be manhandled through the mud and jungle.
