These have been on the painting table for such a long time, nearly two years after the first squadron was completed.

“The Imperial Sentinel can be armed with a wide variety of weapons. The original Sentinel design called for a completely open canopy and an Assault Cannon as the walker’s standard armament, but eventually this design fell out of use in place of more common weaponry and an armoured or partially armoured canopy.“ 40k Fandom

I have a squadron of the Rogue Trader walking eggs and two squadrons of the later bulkier Middle- Hammer versions all armed with Assault Cannon.

Just a quick wash and dry brush, the metal bits picked out, and some detail added.

Foot showing rust look.

Hopefully the rest of the old school metals will not taker as long as this one two paint!
Nicely done, Dave! 🙂 I really like this version!
Thanks John. They are my favourite as well.
Those are great.
Cheers,
Pete.
Thanks Pete.
More of those cool walkers! 😃
Yep, they are my favourite and fit in well for steampunk or Pulp fiction as well.
Great work on these, Dave. I never had this version so it’s extra interesting to me seeing them painted up like this.
Thanks Az. They are my preferred version because I like their “chunkiness”. The “egg” version just looked silly and whilst the Catachan and Steel Legion plastics looked OK I don’ think they equalled these.
Great work on these classics Dave, and your vehicle colours work well on these.
Thanks Dave
Not being a big sci-fi gamer, I had never seen these. Wow, those kick ass! Really cool.
Thanks – a lot of the old GW stuff isn’t too bad.
