WW2 Australian 101st Mortar Support Platoon – And another one bites the dust!

Another Australian Support Platoon finished.

These were painted way back on 9 November 2023 when I was painting a whole lot of ATR’s for various projects.

Unfortunately this doesn’t finish my Australians. I have a Militia Platoon with which to fight the Battles at Milne Bay and along the Kokoda track, and “Kanga Force” the Australian Commandos deployed initially around Wau, Lae, and Salamaua to fin ish.

At the moment they are not a priority but who knows as for me priorities can change quickly.

  1. Thanks Pete. The commandos are planned for later this year – the only differences in the painting are they are armed with a lot more Owen guns and have a mixture of berets and slouch hats.
