With the arrival of “Rebels and Patriots” rules from Osprey I finally had a set of rules that I liked for the French Indian Wars collection that I have had for years. The last to complete have been my Coureur des bois:
The Leader
Second in command
Group 1 of the Coureur des bois
Group 2 of the Coureur des bois
Group 3 of the Coureur des bois
Group 4 of the Coureur des bois
Group 5 of the Coureur des bois
They have been painted to tabletop standard and not collector standard and have been based to give just a hint of the winter that is about to descend.
I have now commenced their duplication in canoes.
All figures, including the canoes, are from Old Glory Miniatures.
I do enjoy it when a rule set comes along to match minis you have already been collecting.
Yep. FIW has always been a favourite period of mine but until Rebels and Patriots there was nothing that really grasped the essence of the period. Muskets and Tomahawks was OK but too detailed for this feeble old mind.
