My life. My rules!!

Things started of very smoothly with me getting lots of the Kurosawa village buildings completed this week.

Unfortunately after completing these grain stores I remembered that I had some Sarissa Dark Age grains stores that I was going to add to my Dark Age village. After rummaging through the garage to find them I also came across a few other Dark Age buildings that needed putting together to complete the Viking village.

This is where everything went wrong.

Being slightly bored with the “shit” that I was doing (where “shit” is a highly technical term defined as “preparation for highly sophisticated practical game theory analysis”) I broke my golden rule and went off on a tangent – hey we all do it and put these together.

These are slightly smaller than the ones painted for the Samurai village but will do to add variety, and can also fit the Viking village they were originally bought for. But it didn’t end there………..

These two dark age round huts will do for multiple game – Dark Ages gaming, Early British round huts for Infamy Infamy, and as the Pygmy Chief’s huts. I have undercoated the sides and have used the mdf “punch out” as a template to cut out the “teddy bear fur” thatched roof material.

The Viking Hall with “teddy bear fur” thatching.

This slight distraction could be excused because I was going to use the grain stores for the Samurai village anyway but these were not the ones that I was talking about.

I also found these that I started putting together last night:

Fertig zum Sprung

I normally hate putting together Warlord’s plastic figures because they can have too many parts, but I have to say I enjoyed these. I am going to use these (eventually) for a Very British Civil War (VBCW) “Operation Sea Lion” type campaign. The problem is, at this time of the war, they had their very boring Luftwaffe grey smock and blue trousers rather than the camo of the end of the war. I think I will ignore “historical” accuracy and opt for the camo anyway as AVBCW is hardly historical in the first place. These will go better with the Brandenburger operatives that I have that use the SS Veteran camo scheme.

So there you have it. I have broken my own rules by going off on a tangent. But they are MY OWN rules so who “bloody” cares!!
