I am not a computer gamer, but I am a fan of the Tom Clancy character John Clark and was keen to take a look at the new Kickstarter based on both the Clancy novels and the Unisoft computer games. I had forgotten about this one but fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it good my good gaming mate Blake put me on to this kickstarter as I had missed it.

Tabletop publisher Mythic Games had recently announced that they’re working on this 2-player tactical game based on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Siege.

The Board Game pits two players against each other as they control a hand-selected team of Operators in one of three mission types – Control, Bomb and Hostage. One team will form the defense and populate the interior of the double-sided board, while the attacker stages their initial efforts from the outside. Games are short – four or five rounds across one hour at the high end – and prioritize positioning, quick and efficient takedowns, and understanding how line of sight and terrain can affect various factors.



The trooper pledge version will cost around AU$240 for the basic set and a number of expansions. The sixty miniatures alone are worth the AU$4.00 each so if you are interested in the genre, the games, or the books this one looks like a no-brainer.
