September was on of those months I will not forget for a long time. I was trolled for one of my posts, we had an earthquake, and my footy team lost the final . All-in-all could have been better. The up-side was that the September figure tally was quite good:

• 142 Infantry
• 7 Cavalry
• 2 Guns and Limbers
• 5 dogs
• 29 assorted fences

Overall there were 33 posts, including 4 book reviews, a painting tutorial, some fence building, and 7 slightly off topic posts. These took me past my 500th post YEAH!

Well, you put a lot in and you worked real hard
There were days when you tried
There were days when you starred
Trying to please the crowd when they’re unforgiving
There are easier ways to make a living
Well, I’ve come a long way since I started painting things
I’ve seen the joy that hard work brings
They’ve made us cry and they’ve made us smile
You’ve finished the army, now it’s all worthwhile

We want to remember
There isn’t any doubting
There finished I am, shouting
Paintings such a part of this whole town
And we know that you won’t let us down

Well, there’s nothing better than a coat real thin
And there’s no second prize if you don’t finish them
You gotta give your best, then give again
Out there, there’s no such thing as friends
Well, we’ve been our best and we’ve been our worst
If we do it right, well, it’ll be a bloody first
We’ve gotta get in there and make ’em rad
We’ll paint ’em hard and won’t ever flag
