The “green stuff” arrived from Mighty Ape today and my first effort at using this stuff was just OK.
You have to remember that the last time I did something like this was when playing with Plasticine at Kindergarten more than six decades ago!
I wanted the pustules to be of a suitable Zulk size to both fit with the size of the model and to cope with my virgin green stuff skills (is it still PC to use that word? Probably not one that is in regular use these days anyway!) .
I wanted to add some spiky bits just for interest and finally worked out a good way to make these.
The hair and missing part of the head came up well.
I am not sure how the finger claw will work out when dry, but it is just a case of wait and see.
For a first attempt at using greenstuff you’ve done well Dave, what type of sculpting tool are you using ?
I purchased a set of three from Mighty Ape with the Green stuff they are an army painter sculpting set.

You have several round shapes in there, which are great for blending in edges, just make sure to suitably wet the tool to stop sticking.
Thanks for the advice. With this first attempt I am hoping that the painting will cover up a multitude of sins! I will keep trying as you can teach an old Guru new tricks! I also bought an Egyptian mural rolling pin that I have also tried out with much more success.

Crikey, Dave, that is great! 🙂 I just can’t sculpt in milliput so maybe I really need to try greenstuff! Or can I just send stuff half way round the world for you to sculpt for me?
Of course you can send it half way around the world. Would be happy to oblige…….. when everything in Guru’s cave is finished!
