On this day eighty years ago the United States, Australia’s staunchest ally, came under attack at Pearl Harbour.

In 1994 this day was proclaimed a day of National Remembrance Day, and is observed annually in the United States on December 7, to remember and honor the 2,403 citizens of the United States who were killed in the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbour in Hawaii on December 7, 1941.
A sad day in history indeed Dave, and should be remembered.
