With this lot finished I now have enough to have a small game of Deadzone. I need to put together their opponents. What came with the Deadzone box was Veer-myn a sort of plague rat army, and the Galactic Co-Prosperity Sphere or GCPS (who said Capitalism was dead).
The GCPS are your standard Marine force and will fit in well with the Halo Spartans I have already done so these will be my first opponent, but more of this in about a week’s time

is this a solo-play game?
Deadzone is normally a 2+ player game. There is a link about how to play solo:

The advantage of Deadzone is that it is reasonably cheap (if anything is these days), the figures are superb, and the box set comes with all of the rules, two sample sides large enough to start playing and enough terrain to begin a game with.
The short answer is I have had a few sample solo games and have enjoyed them without using the suggestions in the link. I just put the AI on the defence and I had to kill or rout them without losing X casualties. Solo games are all about setting the scenario right.
Oops forgot. The figures I have been painting are not the ones that come in the starter box. They are a different faction that I had purchased for other game systems and already had. Just not painted.
