I have deliberately chosen quite light supports as befitting the difficulty for Partisans in obtaining, maintaining, and hiding larger vehicles.

A relic of the Great War but there were still hundreds in service. After the French surrender they were used mainly for policing actions in rear echelons by the Germans and so are the most likely tank for Partisans to obtain. The model is from Warlord Games.

I also have the Char B shown in a previous post on May 2 but although it could be used the likelihood of partisans being able to hide and move around a medium battle tank is unlikely.

Here it is shown towing a British WW1 18pdr artillery piece from Irregular Miniatures that will be used as the sole artillery piece for the Partisans.

Tomorrow I should have the “plastic” support weapons completed.
Nice work. I particularly like the weathering on the FT
Just some light white dry brushing. Had nothing to do with the weathering on the Afghan ones!
Great vehicles Dave, and like your reasoning on what would be available to them
Thanks Dave. The other rationale is that you choose to use Partisans because you want to try something different. Not just a repeat of other standard armies.
A nice set of vehicles there, Dave! 🙂 Always like seeing FTs!
Thanks John.
Fantastic stuff- love the artillery piece.
Cheers,
Pete.
Thanks Pete, I hope you are on the mend. Most of the Irregular artillery pieces are excellent. The crew are a bit plain but I can live with that.
A well thought-out force! Great job on these.
Thanks Matt. They make an interesting force. No grunt but lots of them.
Nice work mate, I have that 18lbs in my VBCW for too, it’s a nice kit.
Cheers Roger.
Agreed Ian Kay’s stuff is underrated.
This is great stuff – love those early tanks, and the FT17 looks great!
Thanks Az. The FT17 is my favourite tank and I think should be considered the first real modern tank.
