These supports have been geared around the supports allowed for 7TV and whilst compatible with a standard Commando platoon options they are not exactly the same.
The five support options.
Sniper rifle team. An observer is not required for 7TV but I have included one for use in games like Bolt Action.
2″ Light mortar team. Again compatible for both systems.
A Projector Infantry Anti-Tank (PIAT) weapons team.
A demolition expert. The explosives were made from bundling together the grenade belts from the Commando box set. Only used with 7TV.
Dog Handler. In 7TV they can have up to 3 dogs.
I will paint up the rest of the “left over” figures for tomorrow just in case I might need them in future. At this stage I do not have enough for a full Commando platoon for Bolt Action but I do not intend to buy any more as I do not play the system often, and have other armies to use.
The commandos were a “give away” from Warlord games when I was purchasing my WW2 Early French army. Warlords provided limited choice and I new the Commandos would be useful for the Unit in Dr Who so I chose them. It is great that they are almost complete.
Great additions to your commando’s Dave, they add a lot of support and character.
Thanks Dave. I had some issues working them out and I am not happy with a number of poses for the weapon types but as these were a sideline project i did not want to spend money on additional support weapon models.
