The Village of Wimentum is at the centre of the Baron’s War’ Death and Taxes campaign supplement. The villagers are often the plot devices fro a numb er of the scenarios, and the full campaign.

The Footsore Villager miniatures are OK figures, but not as good as some of their other ranges.

This is not the full range of their figures, just the ones that i chose to buy on the “Death and Taxes” Kickstarter.

Some of the poses are great and interesting, but so much more could have been done. For instance the only artisan/merchant is the blacksmith who is a special character. There is Will the Millers son but no miller etc.

If you are looking for generic villagers these are not a bad place to start if you are buying to a price, but, in my opinion, Wargamers Foundry, Sally 4th, and particularly First legion have far better options.

  1. Great work Dave, and some interesting looking models, basic people are often overlooked by companies, as it all tends to be about combatants

    • I like having lots of civvies and bystanders around. The only genre that should have clear streets is the Wild West, because in every movie (ahem primary source material) I have watched a gunfight clears the street!
