No I am not talking about the Scots Covenants, supporters of the Presbyterian Church, who signed a covenant in 1638 at Greyfriars Kirk, or any Ark of the….., but rather those pesky varmits taking on the Spartans, the protectors of mankind.
Chris has very kindly printed off some more “Halo” Covenant figures for me again. These follow on from those he did for me way back in July this year.

As you would expect these were all of the “good guys” that could take on the Spartans.

The lot I picked up this time included more of the grunts but also some big shooty things!

I will now have to get off my backside and start painting the Covenant figures so my two teams of Spartans have someone to fight
More great looking prints Dave, they are some really nice sculpts
They have come out really well. Some are huge!
They look the part- love the turret.
Cheers,
Pete.
Thanks Pete, this one was better than expected.
Are these 28mm?
Slightly bigger. More like the heroic 32mm scale, but as they are aliens it doesn’t matter.
Very nice, Dave! 🙂
Thanks John. AStill working out how to paint them.
They looked really nice in person. I reckon a lot of these world work really nicely with coloured washes (or contrast) over metallics for the armour.
I may have to get a few hints on how to do this!
Super Easy – Barely an Inconvenience.
Spray Silver, or Leadbelcher, or Gunmetal, or Dark Metal, or Copper, or Gold, or….
Drybrush a highlight if you’d like.
Then go over it with a wash or contrast paint of your choice, diluting when appropriate (ideally with medium)
Depending on what you’re using for the colours, you might want ot use two coats – my Minotaurs Space Marines are two coats of Seraphim Sepia over a steel colour.

From memory, this guy is some version of Contrast Green over metal, with a drybrush afterwards.

Easiest way to try it out is to do it with a sword – maybe an enchanted blade for Silver Bayonet with blue or green.
Thanks Heaps
