I picked up these pumpkin scarecrow miniatures whilst looking on the Westwind Productions Site for vampire models earlier this year. They have both pumpkin and sack headed versions. I went for the former.

Only the head needs assembly and it paints up well. You may like I did want to use a 40mm base because of the outstretched hands and the size of the figures base.

It is believed that more than 2,500 years ago, Greek farmers created the first scarecrows that look like people to protect their crops. Earlier the Egyptians used a wooden frame spread with netting to protect wheat along the Nile. Throughout history farmers have used scarecrows to scare away predators and pests, hence “scare crow”.
Creepy, but nicely done! 🙂
Success!
Those look pretty awesome! This is also the second time I’ve heard of “West Wind” today, so now I really have to check them out!
Are West Wind mostly 28mm or 32mm minis? I’m seeing a number of Empire Dead minis that I’d love to have!
I think mostly 28mm! Not really sure where the distinction between 28mm and 32mm lies now (some of the West Wind ranges have been around for a while, so the older figures may even be 25mm)!
It is a bit hard to tell as I have been buying more monster types. The vampires I bought and posted on:
https://phillipislandgamingsociety392176732.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=28826&action=edit&calypsoify=1 and https://phillipislandgamingsociety392176732.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=29042&action=edit&calypsoify=1 I would judge at 32mm in height but 28mm in stature. i.e. a thinnish 32mm but very reasonable figures.
Thanks! After poking around for awhile, I saw that some are labeled 28mm. Though some look older, like John mentioned, and are probably 25mm. I’ll probably order some of the Samurai next month and see.
I think you will find that they will fit in with all but the 32mm heroic scale.
They have some great ranges.
Nicely done
Thanks. I like them!
Great work Dave
Thanks Dave
Very nice- I like those.
Cheers,
Pete.
Love these guys.
Some more pumpkin heads coming soon.
Great work on these pumpkinheads! They’re certainly a comically-creepy looking bunch. 🙂
Thanks Az that is what I was after.
