It is great having a good mate with a 3D printer.

These 3D files are from Kyoushuneko Miniatures, and I am told with some extra “supports” they were easily up-scaled from 28mm files to “heroic” 54mm figures to match the Australians I have.

The detail on the files is very crisp which unfortunately is not demonstrated via the poor quality pics.

These are a Japanese command squad with a Lieutenant with sword and pistol, and two aides with SMG’s.

The size matches well with the Australians which partly painted are shown “matching it” with their Japanese counterparts.

The Japanese are slightly stockier and just a tad smaller but fit a lot better than the Airfix ones.
Hopefully some more tomorrow.
Nice minis, Dave! 🙂 I really like Kyoushuneko Miniatures and I can get a lot re-scaled to 20mm. In case you haven’t seen them, they do alternative WW2 Australians, including an armoured Sergeant Kelly!
Thanks John the stl files are awesome. I have had a long hard look at the alternative Australians and Japanese……… my pretties! They are certainly on the list. The animation on the Australian walkers is just awesome. Will be a while though as I have to wait on others for the printing,
