An important part of Roman society was its shops and markets. Roman cities were lined with marketplaces where craftsmen created and sold their goods. These shops were small rooms on the lower floor of a house that the craftsmen either owned themselves or rented as a space to sell their goods.

The largest market in Rome itself was that of Trajan built around 110AD and was five stories high containing hundreds of traders.

This one is a little more modest consisting of 4 shops with residences above.

Another great looking building Dave, and like the fact you can get access to all the internals
I haven’t shown it (other than for the temple) before, but all of the buildings provide internal access.
That looks good. Have you got some goods to go out front?
Cheers,
Pete.
I have plenty of suitable “scatter terrain”, including a little market that I will set up for games and when I have finished all of the buildings.
That’s really nice, and has the kind of timeless “Old World European” look to it that I could see them being used in Bolt Action/WWII gaming if surrounded by the right kind of other terrain and accessories…
I plan to use some of them for Sharp Practice Napoleonic skirmish games in Spain I have a large farm almost finished that will fit this perfectly.
Interesting post Dave and the building are pretty neat!! well done.
