I have finally put together all of the buildings that I wanted for the “Pirate Village”. While I now have too many these were projects from my Viking/Anglo Saxon village project and my “Gangs of Rome” project. These were brought forward on the planning schedule to accomodate our Little Wars participation game.

And just to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks I came across the following “effect” by accident:

From the photos you can see that the side walk has an almost marble like look. This was just caused by the overspray of the white spray can undercoat and the black ink wash. Next time I will stick on the tiles before the undercoat. I will try to repeat the effect and also add a brown wash as well to see how it turns out.
