Snow golems are golems crafted from snow and given life. They are used as guards by wizards in the colder regions of the world, where they can avoid melting.
I wanted these to look a little “goofy”, hence the blue eyes and bljue teeth!
They blend in well in snowy environments, where a mound of snow is completely indistinguishable from all the surrounding snow. They hate fire, and as they begin to take damage, they fly into a rage in which they attack anything.

Berserk. Whenever the golem starts its turn with 20 hit points or fewer, roll a d6. On a 6, the golem goes berserk. On each of its turns while berserk, the golem attacks the nearest creature it can see.
If no creature is near enough to move to and attack, the golem attacks an object, with preference for an object smaller than itself. Once the golem goes berserk, it continues to do so until it is destroyed or regains all its hit points.
The figures are from reaper that I have had for a long while but never even thought of painting them.
I will now have to paint something for them to fight, like these snow men and kids from Old Glory with snowballs. Funny how one thing leads to another. Kind of “gets yah”!

Today 3rd of February makes my 700th day of consecutive posts.
Over the last 700 days a few have been very short but I have made it every day ! Phew! There has been more than 700 posts with a number of days having more than one………it’s called “verbal d………”!
What does the number 700 mean?
Looking from a numerology standpoint, the energy surrounding the 3-digit number 700 is a notably even tempered energy. It resonates with well-defined patterns of wisdom and marked vibrations ofperception. It’s also a number that never takes a break in its mission for deeper , more universal truths — tirelessly questing to reveal a greater jewel of cosmic knowledge. Google cannot be wrong can it! Sounds like the Guru to me! Highlights are mine of course.

Just a note to let you know that over the next twelve months I am downsizing my figure collection as I have lots that I have not used for years and am unlikely to ever again.

The Papal Mainframe was the headquarters of the Church: the militarised, syncretic religious order headed by the Mother SuperiousTasha Lem, which later reformed into the Silence during the Siege of Trenzalore. It was fronted by a gigantic spaceship containing a massive computer database safeguarding the security of information across the universe.
The mainframe has highly advanced technology with powerful weapons and their own miliatary force., commanded by Colonel Manton.
It was responsible for interstellar security, protection of human populations and special covert operations, and acted as the military force of the Papal Mainframe. Ranks in the Church included Mother Superious, Priest, Bishop, Verger, Cleric, and Colonel.
Members of this organisation were sometimes called “the Clerics.” The Church also included Confessional Priests, genetically engineered by the Church to allow people to confess their sins without remembering doing so, accomplished by fashioning the Priests so anyone looking at them would forget their encounter when they looked away.

Manton conspired with the clergywoman Madame Kovarian to kidnap Amy Pond’s baby, intending to train her to become the perfect assassin to kill the Doctor.
I have had a lot of comments and emails over the last two months about how I have displayed the Australian Jungle division and the various Dr Who figures. There is no magic involved. If we are not having visitors or I am not planing a game at my place, I normally have some scenes set up on the gaming/billiard table to save time.
These are always appropriate to the projects that I am working on. This month the Xeno Rampart and Dr Who projects.
This is the back of the city rubble scene.
Here is the front. The baseboard is used for my Gotham city railway station.
There is an amazing perception of depth with this layout. For instance look at this car.
Now see how it fits in with the background to give the perception of depth.
The buildings are straight from my ruined monastery project as they fit in well with the backboard.
The rest is just a lot of Post Apocalyptic scatter terrain.
All of the Dr Who minis were photographed in this setting.
Lighting was provided by the downlights and this highly adjustable white LED desk lamp bought from Aldi!

I always use my Samsung Galaxy A30 mobile phone to take the photos mostly they turn out OK sometimes when I am tired not so, but I only claim guru status not that of a photographic genius, but then……………………….
I am really happy with how January played out on the hobby front, with one exception, which I will talk about later.
The Crocosaur painted up really well. This was part of the Zombicide “Undead or Alive” Kickstarter and is the opponent for the Abominape finished late last year.
Next was the “Lizardmen” army for Xeno Rampart. This was a very quick painting style which compromised painting quality for fast production. Despite this I am again happy with the result.
A repurpose of a portion of the old Airfix Foreign Legion fort. This was used as the main objective in a Men Who Would Be Kings game featured below.
The Dr Who U.N.I.T sections came out better than expected and will be an excellent multi-purpose force. There is still four more infantry section to be completed, hopefully this month.
Additional Dr Who sets were also completed. The “:Headless Monks” were very effective and are the “project” that I am most happy with the outcome this month.
The Tomb of the Cybermen figures were a very quick chrome spray, black wash ,and a few fiddly bits to finish off. The basing took the most time.
The time Lords were another good outcome except for my painting of eyes!
The two units of Galifreyan Guard are great all-purpose Sci-Fi figures.
Only one unit of my Jungle Division finished. I need to pull my finger out and get this project completed.
The last of the British Commandos put together and undercoated ready for painting. I hate this essential part of the hobby!
Only this PIAT team were painted.
Despite losing one of the turrets for a short period of time two Stuart tanks were also finished. The Tamiya spray cans, TS28 and TS3, make painting these very quick with an OK outcome.
The big disappointment, despite all of us being on holidays, was fitting in only one game during January. This was a great fun game of Men Who Would Be Kings, played out in true Hollywood style (without the sex, drugs and rock and roll). Great to finally get the band back together.
There was another game played last night (Tuesday the 31st) not included, but this will be posted on later this week.
Not completed were the 20mm Australians, 28mm section of the Jungle division, the Home Guard on bicycles were not put together, the mule teams remain unpainted, and the Imperial Guard “old school” sentinels were not finished.
As always there were some new projects started that were not planned for at the start of the month. These included:

The rest of the “left over” Stargrave figures for a Xenos Rampart security force, including an old 40k Dreadnought.
Another box of Lizardmen put together and painted with first coat. Also a US Army section put together, undercoated and the first colour painted.
All-in-all a good month!
The Xenos Rampart project WAS completed, but I have added the left over figures to this so that will now move into February to finish off (are projects ever finished?).
The completion of the Dr Who figures is now well underway with a substantial amount finished during January. This will continue, probably until the end of March, as although something I want finished there are others more important to me.
I have also ditched some 20mm terrain, a pile of figures, and some Flames of War books I will not use, to unsuspecting “victims”. Something I wish to continue throughout the year.
I also intend to sell off a large amount of figures I am not using this year and will give blog followers first bite before they go on various sites for sale, so keep you eyes open for these.
The main thing is the plastic and metal mountains are, and will be, becoming smaller!
Although footy season is not that far away, and I need to get practising the Woof! Woof! Woof! for my beloved Bulldogs, I am actually not talking about that.
No self-respecting collector of Dr Who models would be without this one!
K9 — occasionally written as K-9 or K•9 — was the designation given to a series of intelligent, dog-like robots who served as companions of Professor Marius, the Fourth Doctor, Leela, Romana, the Mistress, Sarah Jane Smith, Tom Baker, Luke Smith, Starkey, Ace, the Tenth Doctor, and the Thirteenth Doctor.
Most models of K9 addressed whoever was directing them as “Master” or “Mistress” depending upon gender, and used the formal “affirmative” and “negative” rather than “yes” and “no”; and when unable to answer a question would say “insufficient data” instead of “I don’t know”. They were programmed to be both loyal and logical, with a penchant for taking orders literally, almost to a fault. Their striped collars, which sported a blank dog-tag, mirrored the Fourth Doctor’s trademark scarf.
